Baked Mushroom Pasta

Ingredients

Pasta (penned / Macaroni / fusili ) – 200gm

Milk -200 ml

Cream – 200ml

Water – 150 ml

Eggs – 2 nos ( optional)

Mushrooms- 200 gms.

Butter -40 gms

Grated parmesan- 4 tbsp

Method

In a pan add the water and milk and bring it to a boil.

Add the pasta and 20 gms of the butter.

Cook on low flame with a lid for 15 mins.


Once the pasta is cooked add the cream and 2 spoons of grated parmesan.

In a different pan heat the remaining butter and add the chopped (quarters) mushrooms.

Season with salt and pepper .


Add the mushrooms to the pasta.

Add two eggs( optional) and mix well

Transfer the mixture into a baking tin and top it off with some grated parmesan.


Bake at 175 ° c for 20 mins 

Tips

Check on the pasta at regular intervals to make sure it doesn’t stick to the bottom and burn. Add water if necessary.

Add the parmesan first, then taste and add salt accordingly.
